Classified Spot Color Deadlines

Advance regular black-and-white deadlines, when composition is required, by 24 hours for Classified color. Classified Multiple Color, News-Composed Deadlines: three days in advance of regular black-and-white deadlines.

Classified Color Mechanical Requirements

Two progressive proofs must accompany all printing materials. Printing materials must bear at least four widely separated register marks. Advertisers supplying camera-ready negatives should provide full-page negatives in 85-line screen, right-reading, emulsion side up. Advertisers supplying camera-ready negatives for partial pages should provide negatives that are right-reading, emulsion side down.

Advance arrangements are required for the use of non-standard process or specially mixed inks.

Minimum Depth Classified

• All advertisements must run as many inches deep as columns wide except for tie-ins and Classified Super Streamers.
• All advertisements measuring OVER 17 inches in depth are charged full column (20 inches). Position is not guaranteed.
• IMPORTANT! All orders must state the specific space desired, designating the width in columns and exact depth in lines. The Buffalo News will publish and bill the advertisement in the exact space ordered, measuring from cut-off rule to cut-off rule.
• In absence of cut-off rules, the advertisement will be measured from top of image area, or to the 280th agate line and charge accordingly. No display advertisement is counted less than three inches except as stated under special classifications.
